Toulouse Olympique vs Hull FC: Team news, match preview and score prediction

Struggling Hull FC face a trip to France this week as they take on Toulouse.

No longer at the bottom of the league, Toulouse’s winning run finally came to an end against Salford last week, but formidable at home they could cause a struggling Hull side plenty of problems.

Hull are low on confidence and low on troops desperate for a win to rekindle their season. But will it come in France?

Team News

Toulouse are still without the likes of Guy Armitage, Lloyd White and Andrew Dixon. Anthony Marion is back as Latrell Schaumkel misses out. Daniel Alvaro is suspended in a blow to the French side.

Hull have lost both Connor Wynne and Ligi Sao to bans this week but are bolstered by new signing Will Smith as well as academy star Charlie Severs.

Match Preview – Key Battles:

Olly Ashall-Bott vs Jack Walker: Two fullbacks at their very best when running with the ball, given open field either could be a joy to watch in France tomorrow evening.

Tony Gigot vs Jake Connor: Like the two fullbacks, these two are very similar players. At their best when given free reign both will figure in the halves this week as they look to conjure up moments of magic to lead their team to victory.

Where the game will be won and lost:

The loss of Daniel Alvaro to suspension is a tremendous blow to Toulouse and makes their job harder. It means that Hull FC could dominate the middle third and make things more of an uphill struggle for the home side. However, Toulouse always possess threat even when behind the eight-ball so Hull will have to be ready to work for a win in France.

Score Prediction: Toulouse Olympique 22-14 Hull FC
