Four Toronto players charged by the RFL

Jake Emmitt banned

Four Toronto players have been charged by the RFL Disciplinary after a fiery contest against Oxford last weekend.

In the Wolfpack’s first ever home game at Lamport Stadium, referee Brandon Robinson showed three red and three yellow cards as the Canadian side prevailed 62-12.

Prop forward Jake Emmitt was sent to the sin-bin for a professional foul, but he refused to leave the field before throwing several punches at an Oxford player.

He was then shown a red card and faces a Grade C charge that could carry a three-match suspension, although he does have an early guilty plea available to him.

Elsewhere, stand-off Blake Wallace and winger Liam Kay face Grade B charges for punching, as does Oxford captain Callum Windley who was sent off in the game along with Wallace.

All have EGP’s available to use with hooker Sean Penkywicz the final Toronto player charged, he faces a Grade A offence of head-butting with all players set to learn their fate on Tuesday.
