Tonga vs Cook Islands: Kick-off Time, Venue, TV Channel and Team News

Tonga can wrap up top spot in their group today with a win over Cook Islands setting themselves up for a quarter-final clash with the winner of France vs Samoa next weekend.

However, the Cook Islands hopes of the last eight aren’t over yet and if they can shock Tonga today they could still make the knockout stages.

Team News

Will Hopoate is still not fit to play and misses out for Tonga but St Helens teammate Konrad Hurrell and his former Leeds Rhinos teammate and Huddersfield Giants star Tui Lolohea features. Skipper Jason Taumalolo returns. As for the Cook Islands, Featherstone Rovers’ Johnathan Ford is back in the mix after missing last week through illness. Catalans Dragons prop Dylan Napa who is on the look out for a new club is also set to play as is Wakefield Trinity’s Tinirau Arona. Ex-Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves centre Anthony Gelling has returned home for personal reasons as Leeds Rhinos’ Zane Tetevano will start at 13.
