Time to worry about winning Super League says Leeds forward

Leeds Rhinos v Wakefield Trinity

Leeds Rhinos forward Adam Cuthbertson has said there’s no more time to dwell on the Challenge Cup semi-final defeat to Hull FC, as they’ve got to worry about winning Super League.

Hull had too much in the locker for the Rhinos, who were dumped out of the competition at the second to last hurdle but Cuthbertson knows that all the attention has to turn to the Super 8s now.

The Aussie is confident in his side’s ability to finish in the top four, and also book a home playoff.

“We are very capable of doing it,” he told the Yorkshire Evening Post

“The position we are in the table at the moment and the lessons we are going to take out of last weekend is going to give us a much needed boost.

“It is going to help us push forward and we want to pick us some silverware at the end of the year, especially for our leaving players.”

Cuthbertson did touch upon last weekend’s loss and his own reaction to the bitter defeat.

“Last weekend was disappointing because we have put so much effort into getting back to where we are at the moment, playing big semi-finals,” the prop added.

“I sat inside my house for two days dwelling on it, but now it’s time to move on and worry about winning the Super League.”
