Tigers sign Rabbitohs fullback

Following his release from the South Sydney Rabbitohs, Wests Tigers have signed Adam Doueihi to a four-year contract, effective immediately.

The 21-year old became out of favour at the Rabbitohs after the club signed superstar Latrell Mitchell as their new No.1, and he has now turned his eye to the vacant fullback position at the Wests Tigers.

The Sydney Morning Herald reported that the Lebanon representative also met with Sydney Roosters head coach Trent Robinson and that they had become the new favourites to sign the young star.

However, thanks to the long-term security that the Tigers could offer him, Doueihi decided to return to the club where he played his junior football.

“I’m very pleased we’ve been able to secure Adam on a long-term deal at Wests Tigers,” Head Coach Michael Maguire told the club’s website.

“He is a fine young man off the field and is an excellent addition to our squad with his talent and versatility across a number of positions.

“Adam is a tremendously hard worker who carries himself very well and we’re all excited to see him take the next steps forward in his career at this club.”

The Tigers have had a very productive week, as Doueihi’s signature was proceeded by the arrival of Joey Leilua from the Canberra Raiders, and they are also in negotiations with the Melbourne Storm over a historic loan deal that would see young star, Harry Grant, join the club for the 2020 season.
