Tigers short priced favourites to go 10 points clear

Wakefield Trinity 24-25 Castleford Tigers

Catalans host League leaders Castleford in the final live league game of the regular season.

A win for the Tigers will put them 10 points clear at the top of the table and only 5 points away from winning the league leaders shield.
Nothing but pride at stake for Catalans as they are certain to finish in 10th spot, they will though want some improved to take into the middle 8.

The Dragons home form has been dire this season and is the main reason they will be playing in the middle 8.
They get a 10 point start on the handicap, something unheard of in past years, as they have only won 4 of their 10 home games this season.
Whilst the Tigers have not been as strong away from home they have won 7 from 10 and that should be enough to win here against a poor Catalans side.
Cas are very short at 1/3 to win this but this is justified given the way the French side capitulated at home to Wigan last time in Perpignan.

You’d want more than 5/2 for a home win here and I think the Tigers can win this by around 11-15 points to make it 12 wins on the spin.
No cup distractions for either side and they will both benefit from a week off next week.

Monaghan and Minikin head 1st try favouritism at around 8/1 in the absence of Eden. Burgess scored a hat trick when Wigan played here so this could be down to the wingers, I’d maybe just favour the experienced Monaghan.
Inu looks good value for the Tigers at 16/1.

Cup week next week, we’ll have betting reviews for both games. As always please gamble responsibly.
