Super League undoubtedly possesses some of the toughest athletes in world sport and we saw a great example of that last season from Joe Westerman.
After carrying the ball in, the towering back-rower dislocated his kneecap, only to immediately hit it back into place himself, before shrugging off the physio’s attempt to take him from the field.
He played the remainder of the game but it ended in disappointment as Hull KR claimed a shock victory against his then Hull FC side.
Nonetheless, Westerman’s heroics were the talk of the town after the match with the video now exceeding one million views on YouTube.
