As 2023 begins there are over 20 players from the NRL who are still looking for a new club in 2023.
One of them is Thomas Chester. The fullback is just 21 years of age and made his Super League debut in 2022 against Cronulla Sharks after featuring against South Sydney Rabbitohs in pre-season.
Now though the fullback is looking for a new club in 2023. But could they be based on England?
After the exit of Joe Arundel who has joined Bradford Bulls for 2023, the Panthers could be keen on making another signing to add further depth to their backs and Chester would be a good signing for the club. Based on the success of Caleb Aekins at Leigh Leopards last year, Chester would be a roaring success.
The Cougars have made some major signings for 2023 and bringing in someone of Chester’s quality would be another statement signing and would work wonders alongside the likes of Luke Gale and Dane Chisholm.
Salford Red Devils
The Salford Red Devils have made a number of impressive recruits already for 2023 and have a quota spot to use. Having let go of ex-Wigan Warriors Morgan Escare, the Red Devils could do with replacing him and Chester would be an ideal replacement.
