After Leeds Rhinos suffered a huge blow at the weekend as Wigan Warriors laid down a marker and Warrington Wolves defeated Hull FC in a crucial clash in the play-off race, today the focus was always set to shift onto the disciplinary and that it has.
Castleford Tigers, Salford Red Devils, Leigh Leopards, Wigan Warriors and Leeds Rhinos stars have all landed themselves in hot water with the match review panel with 12 charges being handed out to Super League and League One players with steps taken to ensure swiftness ahead of the League One Play-offs.
Four bans were handed out but three of those were to Super League players and two to Castleford Tigers stars.
Liam Horne has been banned for two games following a dangerous throw.
Meanwhile, Liam Watts difficulty with the disciplinary has continued with a ban for tripping.
Kaide Ellis meanwhile has been charged with dangerous contact receiving a one match ban for his actions.
The clubs have till tomorrow to decide whether or not to appeal the suspensions which would then lead to an operational rules tribunal on Tuesday evening.
Wigan are looking to back up a vital win over Catalans whilst Castleford are still in a fight for survival.

Marc Sneyd (Salford Red Devils – Grade B Strikes – £250 Fine
Oliver Gildart (Leigh Leopards) – Grade B Dangerous Contact – £250 Fine
Sam Tomkins (Catalans Dragons) – Grade B Raising knee in tackle – £250 Fine
Kaide Ellis (Wigan Warriors) – Grade B Dangerous Contact – 1 Match Penalty Notice
Jack Brown (Hull FC) – Grade A Dangerous Contact – N/A
