May 1st has come and gone and now out-of-contract stars are able to talk and negotiate with other clubs.
That, of course, sends the rumour mill into overdrive with anybody and anyone linked at this time of year.
But, for Castleford Tigers, who may be on Lee Radford’s radar going into 2023? (For this article, Jack Broadbent and Jacob Miller are not included).
Mason Lino – Wakefield Trinity
With Jacob Miller expected from Wakefield Trinity, his teammate would be an incredible acquisition after impressing thoroughly since joining the West Yorkshire club in 2021. With a superb goalkicking rate and an eye for a gap, Mason Lino has arguably become Wakefield’s most creative players. And, at just 28 years of age, the halfback would be around for many years to come.
Dan Norman – St Helens
Signed from London Broncos, Dan Norman has had mixed results in the St Helens side since then. At the age of 24, the powerful forward will be wanting more game time and may have to move elsewhere to achieve that. And, Radford could well be waiting with the Tigers desperately needing more firepower up front.
Robbie Mulhern – Warrington Wolves
With Warrington Wolves head coach Daryl Powell wanting to rejuvenate his side, some have already announced their exits. Josh Charnley is one of those whilst Mike Cooper is widely expected to join Huddersfield Giants. And, with Powell signing Gil Dudson and Sam Kasiano, opportunities may be limited up front for Robbie Mulhern. The rampaging prop has become one of Warrington’s most consistent performers in the past season or so and would thrive back at West Yorkshire.
