Three Super League players that Leeds Rhinos boss Rohan Smith could sign

May 1st has come and gone and now out-of-contract stars are able to talk and negotiate with other clubs.

That, of course, sends the rumour mill into overdrive with anybody and anyone linked at this time of year.

But, for Leeds Rhinos, who may be on Rohan Smith’s radar going into 2023?

Kyle Amor – St Helens/Warrington Wolves

With Warrington Wolves signing Kyle Amor on loan from St Helens, it seems as though the forward’s time at the Totally Wicked Stadium may be coming to an end. And, with Leeds needing experience in the front row in the near future, getting Amor in on a short-term deal could prove to be a well thought out move. A proven Grand Final winner who has embraced the culture at Saints, Amor would be a big help in the changing rooms at Headingley.

Tim Lafai – Salford Red Devils

Having only signed a one-year deal at the AJ Bell Stadium, Samoan international Tim Lafai has put his name in the shop window following an excellent start to the season in a struggling Salford side. Potent out wide, Lafai could provide the Rhinos with some firepower in the centres, though it remains to be seen whether Leeds could lure him away from a stellar job he is doing at the AJ Bell Stadium.

Guy Armitage – Toulouse Olympique

One out of left field perhaps, but Guy Armitage has taken to Super League like a duck to water following his move to Toulouse Olympique after a spell in London and in rugby union. A remarkable offloader of the ball, the 30-year-old centre should have no shortage of suitors after excelling in the south of France. And, the fact that he only signed a one-year deal would make interest in him likely to rise.
