Leigh Centurions are preparing for Super League make no bones about it.

They have, bankrolled by dedicated owner Derek Beaumont, built up a formidable side along with Featherstone Rovers as the pair go head to head for a place in the top flight.

The Centurions have signed the likes of Blake Ferguson, Caleb Aekins and Nene MacDonald, but which three signings could Adrian Lam make to push them even further?

Josh Dugan

Heavily linked with a move to Leigh last year, Beaumont has regularly spoke of his admiration of former NRL star Josh Dugan. The ex-Cronulla Sharks man left the sport in 2021 after failing to earn a new deal, but has since been playing country rugby league in Australia. Like Blake Ferguson, the Australia international would certainly but bums on seats.

Josh Charnley

Having been given notice by Warrington Wolves head coach Daryl Powell that he will not be given a new contract at the club, Josh Charnley will likely be a man in demand. A regular try-scorer with an eye for a spectacular finish, the winger has become one of the most consistent in Super League. And, he would be a massive coup for Leigh if they make a move on him – but it probably depends on if they reach the top flight.

Cheyse Blair

He’s hardly set the world alight at Castleford Tigers, but Cheyse Blair would be a steady player for the Centurions with his three years of experience in Super League. Able to play in the centre or the back-row, Blair’s versatility would go down a treat with Adrian Lam’s men. The move could also help rejuvenate Blair who really doesn’t look to have settled too well at the Jungle.
