May 1st has come and gone and now out-of-contract stars are able to talk and negotiate with other clubs.
That, of course, sends the rumour mill into overdrive with anybody and anyone linked at this time of year with deals being signed left, right and centre for next year and beyond. And, though the transfer market has closed for the remainder of the season, preparations will be well underway for 2023.
For Castleford Tigers, the club is expected to be hit with another overhaul at the end of the season with Lee Radford determined to change up his side, but who may be on Lee Radford’s radar going into 2023?
Jack Brown – Hull FC
With Castleford seemingly struggling in the pack in 2022, a young Jack Brown could more than fill the void. Having been in and out of the Hull FC team due to injuries, Brown has shone when given the opportunity. He would provide some size and speed in the middle and help Radford lower the average age of the Tigers’ older pack. It would also fit with Radford’s mantra at the Jungle of bringing in younger, hungry talent.
Robbie Mulhern – Warrington Wolves
Powerful and tough, Robbie Mulhern has proved in the game time he has had at Warrington Wolves just how strong of a ball carrier he is as well as how good a defender he can be. Just 27 years of age, Mulhern would add leg drive and enthusiasm to a Castleford pack that appears to tire quite easily nowadays – it would also help Radford lower the average age of his ageing squad and bring in someone that hails from West Yorkshire too. With the forward set for the exit at the Wolves, a number of clubs are thought to have been sniffing for his signature.
Yusuf Aydin – Wakefield Trinity
He has not had many chances at Wakefield, but spent the last two weeks on loan at Leeds Rhinos where he has impressed. Given a shot off the bench against Wigan, Yusuf Aydin more than played his part in the 42-12 rout over the Warriors, and has since been recalled by Trinity head coach Willie Poching to presumably bolster the Wakefield pack in the run in to the end of the season. Though Poching has reiterated his desire to keep Aydin on board, Lee Radford could certainly cast eye an over proceedings with Aydin just 21 years of age.

This is a pile of crap Callum, even by your very low standards.
