Last week the official off contract list from the RFL was released to clubs and shared by Rugby League Live.
It revealed that 13 players were set to leave their current clubs including James Greenwood. The former Wigan Warriors star will be looking for a new team in 2o24.
So here are three potential destinations for the forwards.
A key area Castleford Tigers are looking to revamp is in the middle of the park. Bringing in a player like James Greenwood with terrific worth ethic and mobility could be a fine addition to their middle units.
Like Castleford, Hull are set for a rebuild under Tony Smith and have plenty of players off contract. A hard working like Greenwood would be a smart signing for the club and offer them some steel in the middle of the park.
It seems Huddersfield are set to lose Owen Trout so there could be a gap in the Giants’ pack in 2024. They already have Joe Greenwood so it would be nice to see him reunited with his brother in 2024. It especially makes sense with Chris McQueen’s future uncertain.
