Three free-to-air fixtures among eight televised rugby league games this week

The Challenge Cup returns this weekend and round seven of Super League continues on in a week where plenty of rugby league is televised.

Channel 4 have another fixture and the BBC and other online streaming platforms are showing the Challenge Cup meaning there’s lots of free-to-air rugby league this weekend.

On top of that there are the Sky games which highlight both Super League and NRL.

Thursday 30th March

Sydney Roosters vs Parramatta Eels: 10:00am on Sky Sports Arena
Leigh Leopards vs Wigan Warriors: 8:00pm on Sky Sports Arena

The morning NRL offering sees two Englishmen face off against each other with the veteran Josh Hodgson representing Parramatta and Victor the Inflictor Radley’s Roosters hosting them. As for the English game the Super League and Sky Sports are offering up the Battle of the Borough with Leigh hosting Wigan.

Friday 31st March

South Sydney Rabbitohs vs Melbourne Storm: 10:00am on Sky Sports Arena
Hull KR vs Leeds Rhinos: 8:00pm on Sky Sports Arena

The NRL offering gives us another English World Cup star in action with Tom Burgess’ Rabbitohs hosting Melbourne, whilst in the evening two teams coming off the back of a win face off. Hull KR welcome Leeds to Craven Park with both sides currently sat on three wins from six.

Saturday 1st April

Brisbane Broncos vs Wests Tigers: 9:35am on Sky Sports Arena
Warrington Wolves vs Hull FC: 1:00pm on Channel 4

Saturday morning kicks off with unbeaten Brisbane hosting winless Wests in a game that pits Herbie Farnworth against John Bateman. Onto lunchtime and we get another serving of the brilliant Channel 4 action with the unbeaten Warrington hosting a hapless Hull FC who are on a four game losing streak.

Sunday 2nd April

York Knights vs Sheffield Eagles: 12:30pm on BBC iPlayer
Dewsbury Rams vs Widnes Vikings: 3:00pm on The Sportsman Youtube

Sunday is the day for free streaming of the Challenge Cup with three Championship teams in action. The earlier game sees York host Sheffield with both sides pushing for promotion and the Eagles coming off a huge win over Toulouse. Then at 3pm the Sportsman Youtube Channel streams League One Dewsbury against John Kear’s Widnes in what looks to be another brilliant tie.
