Last night, Hull KR claimed a huge victory in their hunt for play-off rugby when they downed Castleford 26-19 in a must win game for both sides. It was a brilliant contest graced with a touch of controversy but in the end Hull KR were deserving winners. That was my take anyway but what was yours? How did social media see the game?
The star of the show was undoubtedly Mikey Lewis. He grabbed a pair of classic tries as he continues his outstanding development.

One fan felt, after being replaced by Rowan Milnes earlier this season, that the trip to York was the perfect place for him to develop and come back as a better player.
What a player. @mikeylewis32 trip to @YorkKnightsRLFC was like the rising of Lazarus. Doubled in value and now starting berth on team sheet. “There’s only one mikey lewis” good on you lad!

Other impressive performers included Sky Sports’ Man of the Match Will Dagger as well as the returning Jordan Abdull.

Some even felt Dagger has re-established himself as a key player for the Robins moving forward.
@hullkrofficial you must sign Will Dagger for next season he is awesome on the field 👌 #HKR

To be honest, the list of star players last night was endless and included Kane Linnett and try scorer Matt Parcell.
How good was the big red machine tonight Kane linnet , watching the game back he’s got some engine 👏👏 but @MattParcell_ in the middle for 80 mins 👌 , pleased for dagger aswell , more game time with us 🤷♂️ please sign , said goodbye to players leaving, dagger was not involved 🤷♂️

Parcell’s try was a major talking point in the contest. Many believed it should’ve been sent to the video referee.
James child as just robbed cas

Well played @hullkrofficial played well in 2nd half but should have gone to screen for 2nd to last try! #JamesChild is corrupt!! Also a change for the @SkySportsRL pundits! Last few weeks they've been shocking!!@Dickyticker10 you were right! Ruined my birthday week! 😭@CTRLFC

That said, many believed Child’s decision wouldn’t have changed the game given the impressive performance of Hull KR on the night.
Irrespective of the woeful arrogance or incompetence of James Child, KR deserved that win today. They dug deeper than us, they wanted it more, they fed off the energy of the crowd.

Plenty are now getting ready for the huge game at Headingley next week as Hull KR and Leeds both look to secure their play-off places. However, interestingly should Castleford lose on Thursday the game could mean very little and it’s safe to say some fans aren’t impressed.
I cannot believe that Warrington v Castleford is Thursday night, could mean that our game v HKR is a dead game before it even starts.
