There is one club that is surprising plenty of people with their recent struggles and that is the Huddersfield Giants.
They have only won four games so far this season despite a star studded squad and Adrian Morley has said they have “got away with it” so far.
“I think Huddersfield have got away with it this year, we’re almost halfway through the season and they’ve not been great have they?” he said on the Last Tackle.
“They’ve been very disappointing, given the talent they’ve got in their roster, you’d have thought they’d have put on some much bigger and better performances.
“They got to that Challenge Cup final and were the better side in it, should have really won that day but they didn’t. They’re chasing a trophy, you’d think they’re going to learn lessons and come back stronger, recruited so well, maybe they’ve got a few too many chiefs.
“There’s a lot of key personnel in a lot of positions trying to fight for the number one spot or the halfbacks, how do you keep them all in, how do you fit them all in and keep them happy?
“Maybe it’s that, I’m not too sure, I’ve not heard anything around the Huddersfield camp that suggests that but for their quality and given what they’ve spent they need to be performing much better.”
