Most eyes right now are on the Rugby League World Cup whilst behind the scenes there is still plenty of speculation surrounding recruitment.
The likes of Warrington Wolves, Wakefield Trinity and Catalans Dragons are still busy in the transfer market whilst Salford Red Devils chase Sam Stone of the Leigh Leopards.
Speaking of the Leopards, Derek Beaumont has said himself that the Leopards aren’t done in the transfer market and are still looking for a middle forward.
If you believe the rumours, Leeds Rhinos might not be done in the transfer market either as they look for a centre despite using up their quota spots.
Despite all this, two Super League clubs have begun preparations for next season on the training field.
The first Super League club to return to pre-season was Hull KR with the likes of Elliot Minchella, Ethan Ryan and Matt Parcell taking to the field whilst even some new signings have taken to the training field under new boss Willie Peters as they start a new era.
This new era started last week with the Robins returning to training last week.
Today, Wakefield Trinity joined them starting their pre-season under their own new coach Mark Applegarth today with those not involved in the World Cup coming together for the start of pre-season.
