The three Warrington Wolves players still off-contract in 2026 following James Bentley clarity

Following the news that James Bentley will leave Warrington Wolves at the end of the season, it leaves them with just three players waiting to find out if they will earn a new deal.

Bentley exits the Halliwell Jones Stadium after just one season, with Sam Burgess’ side offering him a 12-month deal following his premature departure from Leeds Rhinos last off-season.

Whilst the back rower has played a decent number of games for the club, the side have opted not to renew his deal, and he will instead join Bradford Bulls on a three-year contract starting in 2027.

Bentley will return to where it all began, and it he will make his second debut next year a decade after he left the side first time around.

With his future now secure, albeit not at the Wolves, it leaves Burgess and the club with just three players left to decide on.

Contracts expiring in 2027: Adam Holroyd, Albert Hopoate, Arron Lindop*, Cai Taylor-Wray*, Jake Thewlis, Jordy Crowther, Josh Smith, Kelepi Tanginoa, Leon Hayes, Liam Byrne*, Max Wood*, Sam Stone, Toafofoa Sipley

*Lindop, Taylor-Wray, Byrne and Wood all have options in the club’s favour for an extra year.
