Super League

The Super League side with the most home games in the opening 10 Rounds and the two with the least

Fixture lists aren’t always created equal and that is very true of the opening 10 rounds of Super League.

You’d expect every side to have five home games and five away games in the opening 10 fixtures.

But that is not the case. Castleford Tigers have more home games than any Super League side in those opening 10 games with six.

On the other side of things, their rivals Wakefield Trinity only have four home games in those opening 10 fixtures perhaps due to the redevelopment of Belle Vue which is on going.

Likewise, Champions St Helens only have four home games in the opening 10 games. This is because their Round One fixture has been postponed due to their World Club Challenge commitments in Australia that weekend.

This means that Huddersfield Giants have the fewest away fixtures in the opening 10 games because their trip to St Helens has been postponed. They also have three home fixtures in a row from Round Four to Round Six.

Saints, Wakefield, Leigh, Warrington and Wigan are the only sides without back to back home games inside the opening 10 Rounds. Wigan and Warrington play at home every other week perhaps as it is supposed to be with Wigan at home in every evan round of the opening 10 and Warrington at home for every odd round starting with an opening day clash with Leeds.
