The Super League players expected to make NRL switch

Over the last few days, there has been an increase in talks about some of Super League’s biggest stars heading to the NRL.

There have been a number of reports down under about potential moves for some real top stars in the Betfred Super League and interest down under.

But which players are the ones expected to make the move down under?

Here’s three of the players most likely to make the switch.

Jack Welsby
After the World Cup and World Club Challenge, NRL interest was inevitable. The fullback is the best player in Super League, devastating Wigan Warriors last week. Over the weekend it was reported by legendary NRL commentator Andrew Voss that NRL giants Sydney Roosters are interested in the fullback.

Mitchell Pearce
The Roosters are also said to have made a play for Catalans Dragons star Mitchell Pearce with the halfback’s career set to go full circle as he returns to the tri-colours in 2024. He is expected to play as a number 14 rather than a seven.

Lachlan Lam
One of Super League’s most in form players at the moment, Lam at times has been unplayable in 2023. It has often been said Lam wants to return to the NRL and the Canberra Raiders are an interested party with Lam seen as an ideal replacement for the departing Jack Wighton. According to reports, talks have already been held.
