The staggering amount of money former Castleford Tigers star Jacques O’Neill will receive after Love Island experience

If you are a rugby league fan and have not heard about former Castleford Tigers star Jacques O’Neill’s recent entrance and exit into the Love Island villa, then you most probably have been living under a rock.

The 23-year-old entered the villa to find love last month, coupling up with Welsh beauty Paige Thorne before things started to go awry.

O’Neill eventually left the ITV2 show after admitting he was struggling in an emotional last episode before exiting, professing to Paige that he ‘would wait on the outside’ for her after new bombshell Adam Collard appeared ready to make his move on Paige.

Since his exit, the Cumbrian enforcer has been inundated with messages of support from far and wide, with his Instagram following burgeoning to a massive 962,000 as it stands this Monday.

If O’Neill’s following hits a million, then he could earn as much as £10,000 per post for an endorsement! That figure is even more remarkable when considering that the former Castleford man had less than 10,000 followers before he went into the Love Island villa.

Such a popular figure will always be given offers to appear on other reality shows, but O’Neill has turned down the offer of £60,000 to go on Celebs Go Dating, according to the Daily Mail.

There is also a chance that the Cumbrian could return to rugby league, with O’Neill returning to training at Castleford Tigers last week to check in on his former teammates as well as making an appearance at the West Yorkshire club’s fixture against Warrington Wolves at the weekend.

Castleford head coach Lee Radford had remained coy when asked about a potential return for O’Neill, but a deal for 2023 could well be struck even though the 23-year-old will obviously be inundated with offers outside of the sport.

However, O’Neill’s next move looks to be in the ‘influencer’ mode, with the Cumbrian revealing on his Instagram profile a new link up with a public relations company alongside Scott Thomas – who himself was a Love Island contestant a number of years ago.

‘The Social PR’ claims it is the UK’s ‘fastest growing PR agency’ with a specialty in:
