The RFL have confirmed all rugby league will be going ahead this weekend, despite the cancellations that have already happened worldwide because of the Coronavirus outbreak.

Just in this country, the Premier League and the English Football League have announced their leagues have been suspended until April at the earliest.

However, all rugby league, including the Super League and the Challenge Cup will go ahead as scheduled.

Despite this, the Rhinos will NOT be travelling to Catalans Dragons. This morning, it emerged one of their players was self-isolating.

Meanwhile, Salford Red Devils and Wigan Warriors have both asked fans to avoid asking players for selfies and autographs.

The RFL added in a statement: “At all times the RFL has followed and is following the government’s guidance as requested.

“We will of course monitor the position carefully for any changes and communicate in due course should any update be required.”
