“The next Tom Burgess” secures his future thanks to ex-Leeds Rhinos star

If a rugby league team isn’t looking for the next big star then they are doing something wrong.

One of the next big stars could very well be young forward Jason Hallie.

Hallie has been branded as “the next Burgess” by Cairns Post and has been likened to Tom Burgess most of all.

He stands at a huge six foot six and is 118 KG and has signed a two year deal to be alongside Tom Burgess at South Sydney Rabbitohs.

Former Leeds Rhinos star Matt Adamson has proved pivotal in this and the young man is now set for a big future in the game.

Hallie previously played for Northern Pride and once scored four tries in one game from prop against Central Queensland.

He has a bright future ahead of him and could replace Tom Burgess in the coming years.

Burgess recently signed what many people believe could be his last extension at the club.

There was hope that we could see Burgess in Super League soon after he made an admission about being keen on playing for Leeds Rhinos one day.

Tom previously played for Bradford Bulls in Super League like big brother Sam who is currently on the coaching staff at Souths.
