The latest on Challenge Cup semi-finals ticket sales

Leeds Rhinos Women and St Helens Women, Wigan Warriors and St Helens, and Huddersfield Giants and Hull KR will go head to head on Saturday in the Challenge Cup Final and Semi-Finals respectively.

With Wigan and Saints set for a major derby clash, it would perhaps be expected that ticket sales would be through the roof.

But, unfortunately that isn’t the case as has been discussed on The Full Eighty Minutes podcast.

“Ticket sales haven’t reached expectations – we are hoping there will be over 20,000 people there,” The Game Caller said.

“What more can the people try and do to make it more of a success?

“It’s quite disheartening when you see how many tickets are being sold because Elland Road has a capacity of around 36,000 we don’t want to see loads of empty blue and amber seats.

One of rugby league’s leading agents, Craig Harrison – or Show Me The Money UK – called on fans to make the journey to Leeds.

“To any fans out there, it’s at Elland Road, one of the greatest stadiums historically in the country.

“We’re looking to get 35,000, anything less than 25,000 is a failure.

“Please everybody if you are around Saturday go down.”
