The interesting relationship between Leeds Rhinos star and rival player

Today Aidan Sezer will take on his former teammate Chris McQueen as Rivals Round concludes.

Sezer previously played for the Giants prior to joining Leeds Rhinos ahead of the 2022 season.

However, he played a key role in one of Huddersfield’s biggest stars settling in in the shape of Chris McQeen.

This was because Sezer invited McQueen to live with him as he arrived from the NRL.

Asked what it was like living with McQueen this week, Sezer had quite a funny one line on the experience: “He was always upstairs playing WarZone.

McQueen responded quickly with: “I asked him to play but he was too busy with his missus going for dinner and going shopping.”

The second row then explained how the move came about:

“We actually had a lot of fun living together. Seze called me just before I moved out here, we’d played against each other but had never really met properly.

“He called me out of the blue and said ‘if you’re coming over you can stay with me’, and that helped me a lot when I came over. It was a tough period for me personally so he helped me out a lot and we ended up living together for probably a year and a half.

“It was really good and helped me settle in a lot. I don’t think I’d still be here, I don’t think I’d have made it here as long if I didn’t have Seze to live with.”
