The huge sum being paid for Leeds Rhinos legend Kevin Sinfield as latest update in his future explained

In the last few weeks, Leeds Rhinos legend Kevin Sinfield has gone from being tipped to join England Rugby Union to expected to be a “strong contender” to be the new Head Coach at Leicester Tigers and back to being expected to join England as they chase Leicester boss Steve Borthwick as Eddie Jones’ replacement.

Jones has been open about a desire to coach in rugby league especially South Sydney Rabbitohs in the NRL.

Meanwhile, Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves have previously been interested in Jones but his departure has seen England chase Leicester boss Borthwick and his Defence Coach Sinfield to revitalise England ahead of a World Cup.

They initially offered £2 million for the Premiership winning duo before dropping the figure down to £1 million as they let Sinfield out of the deal and Leicester considered replacing Borthwick with the Leeds legend.

Now though The Telegraph is reporting that this £1 million will bring both Sinfield and Borthwick to England after Borthwick pushed hard for his Defence Coach to join him with the Telegraph describing Borthwick as a Leader of Minds and Sinfield as a Leader of Hearts.

The two are expected to be unveiled as England’s two coaches for the World Cup on Monday,
