The games which could determine Super League promotion as Championship fixtures revealed

The Betfred Championship fixtures have been confirmed today with the final round of fixtures will conclude on the 24th September.

Those final fixtures could go some way to determining who makes the top six play-offs and stands a chance of promotion to Super League.

Of course, it could determine who holds the advantage in the battle for the play-offs with the top two given home semi-finals which could turn into home advantage in the Grand Final.

Meanwhile, it could also determine who avoids relegation to League 1.

So, what games will be played in this vital set of fixtures.

Halifax, who will be pushing for promotion to Super League and certainly hoping for a top two spot after a third place finish in 2022, take on the newly promoted Swinton Lions.

As for Featherstone, another side vying for promotion and certainly striving to right the wrongs of that semi-final defeat to Batley this year, they take on Widnes who, based on the signing of St Helens Grand Final winner Kyle Amor and other smart recruitment, will be vying for promotion.

That Batley side will take on Newcastle Thunder in the final game of the season whilst newly promoted Keighley Cougars will travel down south to London. Another side who has done great business, embodied by the signing of Ben Crooks from Hull KR, who could push for play-offs.

Speaking of good recruitment, Sheffield have signed ex-Castleford Tigers Jesse Sene-Lefao whilst Bradford Bulls have Leeds Rhinos stars Jack Walker and Bodene Thompson, and they’ll meet in a massive game in the final game with their promotion hopes no doubt in their minds.

Speaking of promotion hopes, relegated Toulouse will be thinking about nothing other than promotion as they take on Whitehaven away at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, two sides who finished in last season’s top six meet as well on the final game of the season as Barrow and York collide.

Halifax Panthers vs Swinton Lions
Featherstone Rovers vs Widnes Vikings
Batley Bulldogs vs Newcastle Thunder
London Broncos vs Keighley Cougars
