The four clubs that have been interested in signing in ex-Wigan Warriors man Zak Hardaker

The story of Zak Hardaker has been one that continues to do the rounds throughout social media.

Ever since he was dropped by Wigan Warriors boss Matty Peet, Hardaker’s future was up in the air and that became concrete when he was let go by the Lancashire club last Friday.

Tanya Arnold, on BBC Look North, revealed that Leeds is expected to be the next destination, whilst Leeds Live has revealed which other clubs have been interested in Hardaker.

Leeds Live said: “Featherstone Rovers are understood to have put the feelers out about a return to the place where Hardaker first made a name for himself and it’s believed he even had a conversation with his former Leeds coach Brian McDermott.

“Another of his former clubs, Castleford Tigers, were keeping an eye on developments from afar, though they never truly pursued a deal…

“Leigh Centurions were also keen spectators, though there was an acceptance at LSV that it would be almost impossible to land a deal for a player keen to return to his West Yorkshire base. Hull FC, despite rumours, were not interested this time around.”

It remains to be seen where Hardaker goes, but it does appear as though Headingley is his next destination, making it an incredible return to the club where he made his name.
