The five Super League clubs who could sign NRL star

Right now a lot of speculation is building about signings for 2024 with Wigan Warriors pulling off a huge shock lately signing former Leeds Rhinos and Huddersfield Giants star Kruise Leeming or Hull KR’s many new recruits for 2024 including former Warrington Wolves star Peta Hiku, Oliver Gildart and former Hull FC and Castleford Tigers target AJ Wallace from the Bradford Bulls.

But more rumours are making the rounds every day it seems – Warrington Wolves are expected to sign Newcastle Knights forward Lachlan Fitzgibbon and St Helens are being tipped to sign Daryl Clark and Matt Whitley.

One area clubs will look at is of course the NRL and a new option has emerged in the shape of World Cup star and Wests Tigers star Adam Doueihi.

The versatile spine player was excellent in the World Cup for Lebannon but has been riddled with injuries.

Either way he would be a brilliant recruit for any Super League side and will be available according to The Mole of Wide World of Sports who has reported that the spine player will be let go by the Tigers.

But which clubs could be interested in him?

Leeds Rhinos
With both Blake Austin and Aidan Sezer out of contract and Richie Myler in the last 18 months of his deal, Leeds have questions to answer in the spine. Doueihi would at least provide one answer after the club has been linked with Luke Brooks, Tyrone Roberts and Chad Townsend.

Wigan Warriors
With Cade Cust transitioning to hooker and in the last year of his deal, the stand-off role is one of interest for the Warriors as they consider who should partner Harry Smith with Bevan French currently playing there. Doueihi would therefore make a very smart signing in the halves.

Catalans Dragons
With the Dragons set to lose Mitchell Pearce and Tyrone May to huge NRL move at the end of the year they need spine players. Often a preferred destination for NRL players, the Dragons could make a move.

Hull FC
With Jake Clifford being linked with a move back to the NRL, Hull FC will likely have their eye on some alternate options and Doueihi could be one of them. He would be an exciting player to add to their ranks.

Leigh Leopards
Copy and paste the above but replace Jake Clifford’s name with Lachlan Lam. Lam is another player linked with the NRL and thus Leigh could look to Doueihi as a replacement.
