The five most transformative Super League signings of 2023

New signings can often be the key to success as they have an ability to transform the club’s they sign for.

But which signings have been the most transformative in 2023?

Jake Clifford – Hull FC
Jake Clifford was the final piece of Hull FC’s new look spine in 2023. He followed Newcastle Knights teammate Tex Hoy to Hull and his move has allowed Hoy to move to fullback and will give another new signing former Castleford Tigers star Jake Trueman the freedom to play his best in 2023. He will be the heart of Hull’s hopes in 2023.

Zak Hardaker – Leigh Leopards
Brining in a former Man of Steel and a real winner having guided Leeds Rhinos, Castleford Tigers and Wigan Warriors to Grand Finals in the past. He gives Leigh a cutting edge and a real winning mentality.

Josh McGuire – Warrington Wolves
Daryl Powell has strived to widely change his pack going into 2023 and at the heart of that is of course Josh McGuire. A World Cup winner in the past, he will give the Wolves experience and sternness in 2023.

Adam Keighran – Catalans Dragons
Catalans have brought in a top star from the NRL in 2023 in a move which should allow Tyrone May to move into the halves alongside Mitchell Pearce allowing Pearce to dictate things and May to express himself.

Jake Connor – Huddersfield Giants
No side had more territory and attacking opportunities than Huddersfield in 2022 especially as the Giants forced more goal line drop outs in 2022 than any other. But they couldn’t always turn these into points and that is exactly what Connor will give them.
