The five best offloaders currently in Super League

Super League is the home to expansive rugby and there are plenty of great offloaders in Super League who help make this happen.

Here are the five best offloaders currently in Super League.

5. Patrick Mago – Wigan Warriors
Patrick Mago announced himself against Leeds Rhinos in Round Two of last season when he made some great offloads which paired with Jai Field devastated the Rhinos. He made 35 offloads last season.

4. Rhyse Martin – Leeds Rhinos
Offloading is engrained into the Leeds Rhinos DNA though the second phase rugby Leeds were once famous for was somewhat absent at the start of 2022 until Rohan Smith took the reins and made second phase rugby key to their style of play and Martin was at the heart of this. He made 36 offloads last season.

3. Joe Westerman – Castleford Tigers
Castleford Tigers star Joe Westerman is known for being a ball playing loose-forward but his offload game is top tier as well. He made 36 offloads as well last season.

2. Agnatius Paasi – St Helens
One of the best impact subs in Super League these days, a player who bounces out of tackles frequently as he exploits tired defences. Thus, it is no surprise that he has a good offload game as he tears through tackles and finds teammates. He made 42 last season.

1. Tim Lafai – Salford Red Devils
A powerful runner when this was coupled with his brilliant offload game devastated teams last season including Champions St Helens. He combined brilliantly with Joe Burgess and made 49 offloads.
