The club where Huddersfield Giants star Will Pryce will play in 2023 – and it’s not NRL side Newcastle Knights

There has been much made about the future of Huddersfield Giants star Will Pryce recently.

The Knights’ club recruitment officer, Clint Zammit, flew to England earlier in the year to speak with Pryce, whose father Leon was once a Super League great.

Now, though, the Daily Telegraph has confirmed the news and what many people are describing as ‘the worst kept secret’ in rugby league.

Pryce, of course, burst onto the scene with Huddersfield at the back end of the 2021 Super League season with Ian Watson giving his younger players a shot in the first team with nothing to lose.

However, Newcastle Herald journalist Barry Toohey revealed that the Knights are trying to bring Pryce in early, but Watson rubbished such reports.

“He’s not going anywhere, he is here next year,” Watson said.

“He’s 100% at Huddersfield next year. We’re not interested in letting him go yet and the right thing or wills development is for him to be here at least another 12 months.

“All the indications we have when we have spoken to Will is he is happy here and he will see out his contract and take a view from it next year.

“Papers, you can’t stop the media talking – that’s what happens and we can only control what we can control.”
