The Championship clubs best placed to secure Super League promotion in 2023

The ultimate aim for every Championship side is to secure promotion to Super League and the fight for the promised land could be more hotly contested than ever in 2023.

But which teams are best placed to secure promotion to Super League in 2023?

Bradford Bulls
The Bulls have brought in plenty of quality ahead of 2023. They have former Leeds Rhinos duo Bodene Thompson and Jack Walker who add definite class as does former new skipper and former Huddersfield Giants captain Michael Lawrence. They already have some top talent at the club whilst Mark Dunning wants to play expansive rugby which could lead them to glory.

Featherstone Rovers
Featherstone should have gotten closer to promotion in 2022 than they did with the squad they had. Now they have added the likes of Caleb Aekins and Chris Hankinson to the squad, they have even more strength to be chasing their Super League dream.

Toulouse Olympique
As the most recently relegated side, Toulouse are in a strong position to go straight back up though it could be stronger. They’ve lost some key men but have signed well with the likes of Sitaleki Akauola from Salford Red Devils formerly of Warrington Wolves.

Halifax Panthers
Halifax have finished third the last two seasons and will be determined to break into the top two. They have a strong squad and have added Jake Maizen and others to it to provide further depth to their squad. This year could be their best chance at returning to Super League since they were relegated in 2003.
