The biggest Super League stars who can sign for new clubs from next week

One week today Super League players without a contract for the 2024 season can begin negotiations with rivals Super League clubs.

There are some huge names who don’t have a confirmed deal for next season including Castleford Tigers’ star fullback Niall Evalds. A major coup for the Tigers and a former Grand Finalist at Salford Red Devils.

A Lance Todd trophy winner in 2021, he hasn’t captured the same mesmeric form he had at Salford in 2019 but that is due in part to injury. He would be a brilliant signing for any side.

As would fellow fullback Tui Lolohea. Described by Huddersfield Giants boss Ian Watson as the best fullback in Super League, Lolohea had 29 assists to his name in 2022. Fullback is a key position and he will be a wanted man.

Surprisingly, for the second year in a row Brad Dwyer is available. After leaving Leeds Rhinos last year he only signed a one year deal at Hull FC who have plenty of players off contract. There could be a lot of movement at nine this year sparked by James Roby’s retirement and Kruise Leeming’s availability. Dwyer could be part of all of this.

Across the city Hull KR are in brilliant shape but two of their top and most experienced stars are available in the shape of Lachlan Coote and Shaun Kenny-Dowall.

One star who is already heading to the open market as per Leeds Live is Sam Walters with the Leeds prop considering his offers.

There are a number of off contract players at Headingley and big names such as halfbacks Blake Austin and Aidan Sezer as well as former Super League Champion James Bentley.

Salford have been brilliant at tying down their star players but their best try scorer in the shape of 2021 top scorer Ken Sio is still not tied down yet.

Sio is a top overseas star and Saints have four of their best overseas players off contract in the shape of Konrad Hurrell, Sione Mata’utia, Will Hopoate and Curtis Sironen. Who will the Champions keep?

Wakefield Trinity have lost their opening 10 games to start the season and thus relegation is now a serious threat making moves for star men Max Jowitt and Mason Lino likely at present.

There has been a lot of talk that St Helens could sign Daryl Clark as James Roby’s replacement. He is one of a number of big names off contract at Warrington including the in form Ben Currie and Peter Mata’utia.

Lastly, Wigan Warriors have a halfback conundrum with Cade Cust off contract.
