The best away fans in Super League – voted for by you

It’s always interesting to see how the rugby league fraternity rates their own and other clubs’ support.

Well, us at Serious About Rugby League conducted a poll last month asking fans who had the best travelling support – and the results did throw up some surprises.

It perhaps isn’t unusual that Catalans Dragons have received zero votes, considering the hefty expense of travelling away from the south of France each weekend.

But, also receiving zero votes are Huddersfield Giants, Wakefield Trinity, Leigh Centurions (who have now been relegated from the top flight) and perhaps most surprisingly, the Wigan Warriors.

Salford Red Devils, meanwhile, are bringing up the voting rear with a mere three percent of the vote.

Next in line are the Castleford Tigers and St Helens with nine percent of the vote each.

Leeds Rhinos aren’t too far ahead with ten percent with Warrington Wolves just in front with 13%.

Unsurprisingly, it’s the two Hull clubs that are way out in front by a significant margin, with Hull KR in second place at 22% and Hull FC taking home the prize with a whopping 34%.
