Leeds Rhinos look set to narrowly miss out on the playoffs in what has been a tricky season at Headingley.
A loss to Hull FC, which ultimately ended Rohan Smith’s time with the club, was surely the low point, but early attacking performances had previously given fans some hope that the season would go a different way.
It remains to be seen as to whether Brad Arthur will ultimately manage an improvement in their fortunes in time for a top six finish.
His appointment until the end of the season was an unorthodox one – perhaps a sign that there’s a lack of belief in the club’s vision and future.
However, there haven’t been many confirmed departures of players for the end of the season, and a key signing of Ryan Hall could prove to be a masterstoke.
Below is every player set to leave the club ahead of 2025.
All the players Leeds Rhinos are set to lose
David Fusitu’a has been injured for large parts of the season, not playing until Round 8, before scoring a try, and again being injured on his return against Huddersfield Giants.
He then didn’t return until Round 14, and has only scored one more try this season.
He’s set to leave as his contract hasn’t been renewed, likely spelling an end of his time at Headingley after three years with the club.
Another player leaving is Luis Roberts, who played all of the first 12 games of this campaign, on the wing and at centre, before dropping out of the team due to concussion and never returning to the first-team.
James Donaldson, who has been with Leeds Rhinos since 2019, has also not had his contract renenewed, and after over 100 games with the club, the 32-year-old may have seen an end to his Super League career.
Another long-time player likely leaving is Corey Johnson, who will now be looking for just his second-ever permanent club after being with Leeds Rhinos for his entire career.
The big departure, however, is that of Rhyse Martin, who is the only confirmed departure from the Rhinos, and will be a huge blow for the side.
Tom Opacic’s departure has been confirmed, and this seems to be to make way for Martin’s reported move to Hull KR.

We need to class prop forwards and a proper goal kicker.
Let go the two forwards who are out of their depth and not good enough for super league.
