Sutcliffe moving on is a “fact of life” according to Agar

Alex Sutcliffe is set to move to Castleford Tigers at the end of 2021, according to Rugby League Live.

He is out of contract at the end of this season and has turned down the deal offered by Leeds, in order to sign for the Tigers.

Sutcliffe is currently out with injury after featuring for Leeds in the first five games of this year and Rhinos boss Richard Agar is resigned to losing the centre/second-rower.

“I would be disappointed to lose him. I have made no secret of the fact I like him as a player, I’ve given him plenty of opportunity and I saw him as a valuable part of the squad.”

But Agar added: “When you are a developing club and you put a lot of time and effort and money into developing your own, occasionally you do lose one or two along the way.

“That’s just a fact of life.”
