Surprising player tops Man of Steel rankings with max points

The weekly Man of Steel points have been attributed following round three of the Super League campaign and there’s a shock leader atop the table.

For each game three players are awarded points with values of three, two and one, meaning that after three rounds the maximum points available is nine.

Incredibly one player has achieved that maximum tally of nine points and it’s probably not who you’d expect, in fact it’s a player who hasn’t even won al three of their games.

Jordan Abdull tops the table after being granted the maximum marks in each game meaning he sits with nine points ahead of Warrington playmaker George Williams who has six.

Both Abdull and Williams received three points for their efforts this past week although it was Williams who helped guide his side to victory, Abdull’s Hull KR slipping to a last minute defeat to Leigh Leopards.

Alongside Abdull and Williams it was Aidan Sezer, Adam Keighran, Joe Greenwood and Liam Marshall who picked up maximum points in their respective fixtures.

Unfortunately for Abdull, and Hull KR, he won’t be able to extend his lead at the top of the charts as he has been ruled out of Friday’s clash with Warrington due to a calf injury.
