Surprise as Super League coach names interesting line up without key man

In the final week of Super League before the mid-season international game, in-form Hull KR travel to the Jungle to take on Castleford Tigers.

The Robins are looking for their fifth win in a row and a win that would round out their opening ten games with an incredible seven wins, including over St Helens and Wigan.

Meanwhile Castleford are looking for their third win of the season and the third of Andy Last’s tenure and his first since he was officially appointed their permanent Head Coach this week.

The game kicks off at 20:00.

TV coverage starts at 19:30 on Sky Sports.

Last has certainly seen an upturn in performances although the results haven’t always been forthcoming, whereas Rovers have seen both with solid performances backing up impressive wins.

The team news is now in and Cas have named an unusual set of backs with key man Niall Evalds absent despite being named in the squad so Greg Eden moves to fullback.

Alex Mellor has come into the centres with Jack Broadbent starting in the halves with Gareth Widdop unwell.

Will Tate debuts off the bench against his former club whilst Hull KR loanee Luis Johnson is 18th man.

There is naturally no debut for Jacques O’Neill. The Love Island star won’t be in the mix till May.

As for Hull KR, they are very strong tonight with Shaun Kenny-Dowall remaining on the wing and Corey Hall persisting at centre.

They have virtually all their key players in the mix.
