Super League’s Player of the Month revealed

The six nominees for Super League’s Player of the Month were revealed at the end of March.

Unsurprisingly George Williams was up for the award. The Warrington Wolves star has been a cut above in the Man of Steel leader board alongside Hull KR’s Jordan Abdull since the start of the season.

His teammate Paul Vaughan is also included after picking up back to back Warrington Player of the Month awards.

Try scoring sensation Bevan French was the third nominee as the Wigan Warriors flyer has found his best form in the second half of the season.

Catalans Dragons’ Adam Keighran’s great start to life in Super League sees him nominated as is Leeds Rhinos star Cameron Smith despite the club’s indifferent form he has been a brilliant attacker but also is a tackling machine making 64 tackles against Hull KR last week.

The nominees were completed by Leigh Leopards’ Josh Charnley after he spent the month scoring tries for fun.

The first Player of the Month award went to Hull FC’s Text Hoy and now on Sky Sports it has been confirmed that George Williams is the March Player of the Month.
