The most radical Super League Kit for 2024

Plenty of fans like clubs to stick to tradition when it comes to their shirts but clubs have become more and more creative in shirt design over the years, and next season’s Super League kit choices are no different.

Of course, most teams have kept with tradition for their home shirt but the introduction of third shirts for events such as Magic Weekend has allowed the kit designers to get far more inventive.

That’s led to some absolutely brilliant shirts but also some absolute howlers with plenty of fans split fifty-fifty down the middle as to whether the shirts are modern classics or ones to avoid.

Ahead of the 2024 campaign here’s Serious About Rugby League’s most radical Super League shirts.

5: Leigh Leopards Home Super League Kit

It made its way onto the top five best shirts but that doesn’t mean that it’s not radical, it’s leopard print after all! We might have had one season of the Leopards already but the shock factor of seeing leopard print on a rugby league pitch as opposed to the catwalk still hasn’t worn off yet. This time the Leopards have opted for red, seeing them shift closer to their traditional colours as they aim to build on an incredible 2023 campaign. It’s still been a Super League kit design that has split fans though.

4: Wigan Warriors Away Kit

The Champions have gone for a bold design on their away shirt that is described by the club as a “non-traditional colour palette consisting of azure and navy blue with a magenta trim”. It’s primarily blue with shades of pink and navy overlayed on top in dynamic shapes. It’s a shirt that will certainly divide fans but one thing that they’ll all love to see is the addition of a fourth star on the sleeve to signify their Old Trafford win back in October.

3: Hull KR Alternate Suoer League Kit

The Robins went back to white for their home Super League kit, and took on a blue marble effect for their away shirt but even braver they’ve opted for an electric pink alternate shirt. Pink shirts have long been a thing in rugby league with Leeds Rhinos boasting an iconic one previously, but they’re also a shirt that splits opinion. With the possible success that the Robins will have in 2024 there’s potential this could become a fan favourite.

2: Warrington Wolves Away Kit

Warrington Wolves' away KitIt’s a new era at the Halliwell Jones Stadium with Sam Burgess in charge and the club have opted for a new style in their away shirt, going for a lime green body with navy across the shoulders. The club have previously utilised green as an alternate colour but after last season’s classics that were primrose and blue, and then white with primrose and blue, this change to green is a big shift.

1: Castleford Tigers Away Super League Kit

Castleford Tigers' away kitPerhaps the biggest change up from traditional colours would be Castleford Tigers who have also opted for green but instead, they’ve paired it with a purple colour. It’s a major change from the yellow that the club have worn before but fans seem to have reacted positively to it. Hopefully, they can have an improved season in green and purple than they did in 2023.

The pink shirt’s the best (less noticeable advertising). The worst one is by far the one with the massive red Hoover logo. It says vacuum cleaners.
