Three Super League players charged after round one

Widnes Vikings v Castleford Tigers

Albert Kelly, Benjamin Garcia and Paul McShane have all been charged following their respective side’s opening round fixtures in Betfred Super League.

Hull FC’s Kelly committed a high tackle in his first competitive match for the club and has been handed a grade B charge with an early guilty plea available.

Catalans forward Garcia has picked up a grade A charge following his dangerous throw against Warrington Wolves and an early guilty plea can be submitted.

Castleford hooker McShane has been given a grade B charge following a dangerous throw in the game against Leigh Centurions at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle. An early guilty plea is also available to the former Leeds and Wakefield dummy-half.

Two players have been issued with cautions.
