Super League to return to Las Vegas in 2026 with club selection process underway

Super League

Super League will be returning to Las Vegas in 2026 following the impact the competition has made on this year’s event. Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves were Super League’s first representatives at the NRL-organised event, with the pair opening up the quadruple-header at the Allegiant Stadium on Saturday.

That was a game Wigan won convincingly 48-24, but the week was about so much more than the result, with both clubs playing their part in what has been a spectacular week in Sin City. Fans of Warrington, Wigan and a host of other Super League clubs travelled in their thousands and they certainly made them themselves seen and heard to create a buzz within the city.

As such, Super League firmly put its best foot forward in America and it seems the competition has made a hugely positive impression on organisers, who have invited to Super League to return next year, according to RL Commercial managing director Rhodri Jones.

“I can confirm there will be a game here next year of Super League in Vegas,” he told Sky Sports at the Allegiant Stadium. “We had the conversation with the NRL earlier this week.

“They want us to be a part of this event. I think the two teams here this year and ourselves and Sky Sports and the weight you’ve added behind this game, it’s proved to them that we are an integral part to this event. So Super League will be back here next year.”

Asked how next year’s clubs would be decided, he said: “Every club received an expression of interest last weekend, purposely timed so they could see the build up to this week and see what today was all about.

“We’ll do a review with Karl [Fitzpatrick] and Kris [Radlinski] next week with all the teams so they can understand the financials and the logistics of it all and then we’ll ask the clubs to express their interest. I’m pretty sure that we’ll have a number of clubs who will be keen to come next year.”

Figures from several Super League clubs such as Leeds Rhinos, Leigh Leopards and Hull KR have been spotted in Vegas this week and it’s fair assumption to make that they will be among the clubs pushing to represent the English game in America.
