Well, yet another round of Super League is done and dusted, but just who stood out?
1. Lachlan Coote – St Helens
In what is his last season in a St Helens shirt, Lachlan Coote’s performances get better each week with another 18-point haul against Leigh.
2. Luke Briscoe – Leeds Rhinos
Luke Briscoe made some superb runs out of defence to help his Leeds side out and was ever the thorn in Wigan’s side.
3. Jordan Turner – Castleford Tigers
Jordan Turner just may be the greatest signing of 2021 – pace, power and strength in abundance, the utility man scored twice against Hull and made numerous metres with some great runs.
4. Jake Mamo – Warrington Wolves
Jake Mamo had another inspiring run in the centres, scoring twice against Huddersfield and bringing some much needed enthusiasm to the Warrington side.
5. Regan Grace – St Helens
The flying Welsh winger dotted down twice and had a superb game on the wing against Leigh, bringing the ball back with vim and vigour and getting Saints on the front foot.
6. Jacob Miller – Wakefield Trinity
Wakefield sealed a superb victory over Hull KR with halfback Jacob Miller in fine form, running the show and even slotting the drop-goal over that handed Trinity a two-score lead.
7. Kruise Leeming – Leeds Rhinos
Named at halfback for what hasn’t been the first time in 2021, Kruise Leeming delivered yet another masterclass to just about get the Rhinos over the line against Wigan.
8. Suaia Matagi – Castleford Tigers
Has been in brilliant form recently for Castleford and Suaia Matagi was once more key to this Tigers outfit in a tough victory over Hull with some barnstorming runs – none more so than the one that led to FC’s Jordan Lane being taken off.
9. Brad Dwyer – Leeds Rhinos
The livewire hooker destroyed Wigan down the middle on multiple occasions, finishing off his try brilliantly before the dead-ball line.
10. Mike Cooper – Warrington Wolves
Scored a try, and helped carve Huddersfield apart down the middle.
11. Benjamin Jullien – Catalans Dragons
The second-rower scored twice in Catalans’ demolition of Salford but it was his overall play which impressed more than anything.
12. Matty Ashurst – Wakefield Trinity
One of Trinity’s most important players, Matty Ashurst once more delivered when it mattered most as his Wakefield side just about clung on to victory over Hull KR.
13. Morgan Knowles – St Helens
As ever Mr. Consistent, Morgan Knowles put in another energy-filled shift against Leigh.
Substitutes
14. Adam Milner – Castleford Tigers
Paul McShane’s injury early on against Hull meant that Adam Milner was brought off the bench – and boy did he make an impact.
15. Liam Watts – Castleford Tigers
When Castleford needed their most experienced players to stand up against Hull following the injury sustained by Paul McShane, Liam Watts did just that off the bench, putting some big hits on his opposite numbers and playing like a halfback.
16. Olly Russell – Huddersfield Giants
Was a bright spark in what was otherwise a dismal evening for Huddersfield in defeat to Warrington.
17. Sam Kasiano – Catalans Dragons
Sam Kasiano did what he does best in Catalans’ 42-14 thrashing over Salford – bulldoze his way over numerous men, numerous times throughout the game.
