
The 5,000th and 5,0001st Super League games will take place tonight and the team news for both matches is in.
Warrington Wolves will host Leeds Rhinos in the competition’s 5,000th game with the clash between Leigh Leopards and Wakefield Trinity kicking off just a few minutes later to become number 5,001.
Across the years, some classic match-ups between Wire and Leeds have featured and fans will be hoping for another in this milestone game with both teams coming in off the back of impressive wins.
As for Leigh and Wakefield, they both enter tonight after defeats as they lost to Hull KR and Hull FC respectively in Round Six.

On a milestone night for Super League, there are milestone games for Ash Handley and Harry Newman with Leeds Rhinos’ centre pairing making their 200th and 100th Super League appearances respectively.
Handley captains the side once again in the absence of co-captain Cameron Smith with Keenan Palasia once again used at loos forward, meaning Cooper Jenkins starts and Morgan Gannon is named on the bench.
Matt Frawley is named as 18th man after Brad Arthur confirmed he would drop down to the reserves meaning that Jake Connor and Brodie Croft play in the halves with Jack Sinfield on the bench to cover those positions and hooker.

Leigh had hoped to be boosted by the return of Josh Charnley and Robbie Mulhern, however, both men miss out but there is a welcome boost with Frankie Halton back in the second-row.
Star man Edwin Ipape starts from the bench with Brad Dwyer the starting hooker whilst Charnley and Darnell McIntosh’s absence mean that Bailey Hodgson and Keanan Brand start on the wing once again.
