Super League team news: New signing named, Wigan’s hooker call and St Helens welcome back long-term absentee

Huddersfield Giants have confirmed that half-back Oli Leyland has signed a deal with the club that runs until the end of the season.

Leyland has been training with the squad on a trial basis, representing their reserves outfit for the past few weeks. After impressing, he has now landed a first-team deal, and has been named in this week’s squad to face Toulouse.

He replaces Niall Evalds in the squad, whilst the returning Taane Milne returns from suspension in place of Tanguy Zenon.

Opponents Toulouse remain without star man Olly Ashall-Bott, whilst centre Paul Marcon is another to drop out of the side.
