Super League team news as Jake Wardle decision and Warrington Wolves’ spine confirmed, plus Leeds Rhinos and Hull FC squads locked in

Team news for tonight’s three Super League games is in with the major game being Warrington Wolves at home to Wigan Warriors, where Sam Burgess has settled on his George Williams replacement and Matt Peet has made a fitness call on Jake Wardle.

Centre Wardle hasn’t featured since round one of the competition when he limped off with a knee injury against Castleford Tigers, however, the England international was named in the 21-man squad for tonight’s clash.

He would be a major boost given the fact fellow centre Adam Keighran played last week in the halves as Harry Smith (suspended) and Bevan French (hamstring) missed out, and now Peet has made his call on Wardle and his halves.

Wardle is the man to start in the centres as Liam Farrell swaps sides and Adam Keighran retains his spot in the halves, meaning Dayon Sambou drops out. Ethan Havard also returns at prop as Tom Forber drops out.

As for opponents Warrington Wolves, they lost captain George Williams to injury and that’s seen young gun Ewan Irwin handed a start alongside veteran Marc Sneyd but that’s not the only change that Sam Burgess has made.

Cai Taylor-Wray returns at full-back with Jordy Crowther also returning to the squad after his fractured cheekbone. That move sees Kelepi Tanginoa move to the bench with Luke Thomas the man to replace James Harrison.
