Super League target’s move confirmed as he replaces ex-Wigan Warriors and St Helens men

The Sydney Roosters today announced the signing of Corey Allan to a one-year deal for the 2023 season.
The talented outside back joins the club from the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs having been granted an immediate release from the final year of his contract.
Allan made his NRL debut with the South Sydney Rabbitohs where he played 29 top grade games before joining the Bulldogs in 2021 where he played 21 games across his two seasons with the club.
This year, Super League clubs were circling the fullback / centre with clubs potentially trying to secure a deal at the Magic Round in Australia.
So, when it was revealed that Allan had been released, speculation began that he could make the switch to Super League but it wasn’t to be as the Roosters secured him in an important move with the Roosters still having an unsettled backline.
They don’t yet have a clear cut candidate to play alongside Joey Manu at the centres and Allan acts as a replacement for two former Super League stars the club have lost.
Former St Helens star Kevin Naiqama, who won three Grand Finals with the Saints, has left the club after one year to join Huddersfield Giants whilst whilst former Wigan Warriors man joined the Roosters on loan instead of joining Leeds Rhinos and was expected by some to stay there but instead joins The Dolphins.
Allan therefore is an important signing for Trent Robinson and his side.
