Super League target set to sign for new club

Super League target Tyrone Peachey has reportedly signed for the Wests Tigers.

It had been revealed at the end of September that Gold Coast Titans utility man Peachey was amongst a whole host of NRL stars that had been offered to Super League in a bid to get them off the salary cap books.

Now, though, it appears as though the 30-year-old will be staying Down Under for the foreseeable future, with The Daily Telegraph reporting that a deal with the Tigers will be announced shortly.

The deal for Peachey is apparently for two years and is worth $400,000 per season, with the Tigers the only ones willing to pay the asking price as both the Brisbane Broncos and Canberra Raiders refused to pay as much.

The utility man has played everywhere for the Titans since joining three seasons ago and that had left a number of clubs interested in his services.
